RX Division Individual Events

Event #1 & #2

On a seven-minute running clock: athletes will use the first 5 minutes  to establish a one rep max snatch.  At the end of 5 minutes, athletes  will use the remaining 2 minutes to complete as many ring muscle-upsas possible.  These two movements will be scored separately.

Standards Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkaJEwTjhtU

  • Athletes may squat, power, or split snatch. They may take as many attempts as desired within the given time frame. Press-outs will count, but if an athlete knee touches the ground in an attempt to save a lift, the rep will not be counted.
  • Athletes may use no-false grip kipping, false grip kipping, or strict ring muscle-ups. the elbows must be locked and fully extended at the bottom of each muscle-up (no turn-out required), and the elbow must be locked and fully extended at the top of each repetition. You must show clear control with a brief pause at the top of each repetition. Pushing away to begin your next rep as you lock out will result in a no-rep.

Event #3

Athletes will perform as many repetitions as possible in 10 minutes:

- 5 Clean and Jerk(185/135)

- 10 Burpees over the barbell

- 15 Calorie Row

Standards Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kg_Fs96Xouo (Video states event 2, correction: Event #3 is being described)

  • The cleans can be power, squat, or split.  The jerks can be power, push, or split, but the feet must be in line, the knees and elbows locked, and the hips fully extended for the rep to count.
  • Competitors must touch their chest to ground on the burpees. A strict push-up is not required.  You may face the bar, or do your burpees parallel to the bar.  Competitors must jump over the bar, with both feet leaving the ground at the same time and landing at the same time.  The jump over the bar replaces the hands over head jump that would complete a regular burpee.
